The K&N 33-2142 replacement air filter is engineered as a direct drop-in replacement for the factory air filter on the BMW 540i, M5, 740i, and 740iL with V8 4.4L and V8 4.9L engines. Built from multiple layers of oiled cotton gauze, this high-flow performance filter improves airflow to the engine while providing superior contaminant filtration. Installation is direct into the stock air box with no modifications required.
