Volant – Cold Air Intake Kit

Description

The Volant 15742 Cold Air Intake Kit is designed for the Chevrolet Trailblazer and Trailblazer EXT as well as GMC Envoy and Envoy XL equipped with the L6 4.2L engine. This high-performance system replaces the factory intake with an assembly that includes a closed filter box, an optimized air duct and the MaxFlow 5 five-layer oiled cotton gauze air filter. The filter is pleated between top and bottom aluminum screens and comes pre-oiled, ready for installation. The replacement filter is model 5113. The system delivers maximum airflow for optimal power gains while offering a long filter life and extended maintenance intervals of up to 40,000 miles depending on conditions. It decreases intake air temperatures and increases the volume of cold air entering the engine, improving throttle response and overall performance. Bolt-on installation with no permanent modification required.
