Description

The Volant Cold Air Intake Kit (P/N 159816) is designed for the Chevrolet Avalanche 2500, Silverado 2500 HD, Suburban 2500 as well as the GMC Sierra 2500 HD and Yukon XL 2500 equipped with the V8 8.1L engine. This system replaces the factory intake with a Cross-Link polyethylene closed box that insulates the filter from engine heat, moisture and debris. The oversized air duct eliminates restrictive factory baffles to maximize airflow velocity and throttle response. The MaxFlow 5 five-layer oiled cotton gauze filter delivers maximum airflow while providing a long filter life and extended maintenance intervals. High-performance silicone connectors and marine-grade stainless steel clamps complete the assembly for a lasting seal. This kit is designed to increase the volume of cold air entering the engine for improved horsepower.
