K&N – Performance Air Intake System

Description

The K&N 77-2529KP cold air intake system is designed for the Ford Explorer, Explorer Sport, Explorer Sport Trac and Ranger, as well as the Mazda B4000, all equipped with the V6 4.0L engine. It replaces the factory filter and air intake housing with a free-flowing, mandrel-bent polished aluminum tube paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow oiled cotton air filter. The oversized conical filter design allows up to 100,000 miles between services under normal conditions. A custom heat shield protects intake air from engine bay temperatures. Bolt-on installation typically completed in less than 90 minutes. Estimated gain of 5.32 HP at 5,095 RPM guaranteed.
