Description

The K&N 57-2579 is a FIPK (Full Intake Performance Kit) system specifically engineered for the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 equipped with the V8 5.4L Supercharged engine. Built from non-metallic high-density polyethylene roto-molded tubing, this system replaces the OEM air filter and the complete airbox. Designed to reduce intake air temperature and decrease intake noise compared to traditional metallic tubing, it virtually eliminates air restriction to the engine, resulting in a measurable horsepower gain and improved acceleration. The included air filter is washable and reusable, built for long service life. A heat shield is provided to protect the intake from engine heat. This product is CARB exempt (CARB EO: D-269-48). Bolt-on installation typically achievable in 90 minutes or less.
