The Axle back AWE 428i / 430i Touring Edition exhaust

The AWE Touring Edition rear axle exhaust is an axle back system available in dual output (single side, two tips) for the 428i / 430i, or quad output (two tips on each side) for the 428i, and La AWE's exclusive drone cancellation solution, 180 Technology®, to produce the perfect, drone-free exhaust note.

Perfect sound: AWE 180 Technology®

The perfect tone comes with AWE 180 Technology®.

As the exhaust gases exit the N20 / 26 and B48 engines and flow into a resonator equipped with AWE Tuning 180 Technology®, they pass through strategically located ports and into reflection chambers. The sound waves, carried by these exhaust gases, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of ports and chambers, we also control when sound waves exit the chambers. The precise moment at which the reflected sound waves join the main exhaust stream creates a one hundred and eighty degree out of phase sound wave that cancels out the problematic frequencies. Tip:

All F30 430 / 428i systems are 80mm, quad-exit, in diamond black.
