ACT's VR1-HDSS kit pairs the brand's most popular Heavy Duty pressure plate with its Street Sprung disc, for the Audi TT and several Volkswagen models (Beetle, Corrado, Golf, Jetta). The HD pressure plate uses an exclusive diaphragm design that increases clamp load, reduces deflection, and extends clutch life; each diaphragm undergoes a four-stage heat-treating process. The Street Sprung disc features premium organic materials with high copper content for better heat transfer, with a steel-backed lining for greater burst strength. Reduced marcel allows for faster shift action. Pedal feel is light to moderate with smooth, positive engagement. Recommended for street and race use, this kit delivers improved high-RPM reliability thanks to computer-balanced, 100% clamp-load-tested construction.
