Description

MSD now offers Ford distributors with steel gears for use with hydraulic roller cams. On modern engines, matching the distributor gear material to the cam material is critical to prevent premature failure. Ford distributors present a challenge when changing the gear due to a pressed fit, the need to cross-drill the shaft, and setting the gear height precisely. MSD eliminates this hassle by supplying this distributor with a steel gear already installed, ready for hydraulic roller cams. The mechanical advance assembly can be locked out for crank trigger systems.
