Description

The Powermaster PowerMAX Plus Starter (part #9004) is a Hitachi PE106 style replacement. Rated at 1.8 kW / 2.5 HP, it handles up to 16:1 compression with 180 ft-lbs of cranking torque and a 3.7:1 gear reduction. Billet aluminum mounting block with 4-position rotation, compatible with 153 or 168-tooth flywheels, natural finish. Straight mount; clears most headers and oil pans; can be inverted with solenoid down. Compatible with Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, Monte Carlo, and Pontiac Firebird (see Application section). Made in USA.
