Description

The APR Carbon Fiber Engine Cover (MS100232) was designed for the 2.0T EA888.4 engine found in the MQB EVO / MK8 platform. The original cover on these vehicles was flimsy and floppy, and some models shipped with no cover at all due to the risk of it popping off and catching fire. APR resolved this with a new rigid carbon fiber design in gloss twill, featuring red and black accents and the APR logo plate. It reduces weight by 42% over the factory part (MK8 version), reducing weight over the front axles and optimizing weight distribution. Installation is plug-and-play with no tools necessary. The cover pairs perfectly with APR Carbon Fiber intake systems and matching intake covers for a cohesive underhood appearance. Emissions compliant.
