The BD Diesel E-PAS system (P/N 1036758) is designed for the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 HD / 3500 HD equipped with the V8 6.6L Turbo Diesel engine. Industries such as mining, forestry, mobile welding, and refueling require an emergency engine shutdown system. The most effective method is to cut the air supply to the diesel engine. With the BD PAS system, an inline butterfly valve is placed in the air intake line and, when activated by its heavy-duty electrical solenoid, the engine shuts down within seconds. Aluminum and stainless steel components along with weatherproof electrical connectors prevent corrosion. Installation requires no welding thanks to the innovative bead boot lock system.
