Description

The EXEDY ZF505A racing flywheel is machined from forged/billet chromoly steel, a far stronger material than the factory cast iron, for the Mazda Miata 1.6L and 1.8L. Reduced mass lowers rotating inertia, so the engine picks up and drops revs faster, making heel-toe downshifts easier and shifts crisper — exactly what a Miata wants in autocross or on track.

The high thermal capacity of chromoly limits hot spots and heat checking after repeated launches. SFI 1.1 certified, this flywheel meets the requirements of most sanctioning bodies. EXEDY is a globally recognized original equipment supplier.
