EXEDY – Racing Lightweight Flywheel

Description

The EXEDY TF01 racing flywheel is machined from chromoly steel, a far stronger material than the factory cast iron, and tested to 15,000 to 18,000 RPM well beyond anything a street engine will ever see. That safety margin is what separates a competition flywheel from an ordinary lightened part.

Reduced mass lowers rotating inertia, so the engine picks up and drops revs much faster, making heel-toe downshifts easier and shifts crisper. The trade-off is that hill starts require a little more attention. SFI 1.1 certified. Fits the Toyota Corolla GTS and MR2 1.6L.
