The Cometic cylinder head gasket (ref. C5245-098) is manufactured using MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) technology for the Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 engine. Featuring a round 4.060" bore and 0.098" compressed thickness, this gasket is compatible with 18° and 23° cylinder heads. The thicker 0.098" dimension suits low-compression builds, rebuilds requiring a larger combustion chamber volume, or surfaces that have undergone substantial remachining.
