Description

The HKS SMG K metal head gasket (23001-AT003) is designed for the FA20 engine in the Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S, specifically for use with a supercharged engine. The 0.7mm thickness uses a taller stopper than the 0.5mm type for superior bore seal durability. With stock pistons, compression ratio is only reduced by 0.1 (from 12.5 to 12.4), maintaining high thermal efficiency. The separated stopper structure of the bore seal prevents leakage even under high gas pressure at high engine output. Special coating applied on both head side and cylinder side improves sealing performance when tightening bolts. Made by HKS, a pioneer of Japanese high-performance tuning since 1973.
