Description

Hedman Hedders has been manufacturing high-performance headers in the USA since 1954. The uncoated shorty headers (SKU 28170) are specifically designed for the Pontiac GTO, LeMans, and Tempest with Pontiac 326-455 engines. Hand-welded from quality 16-gauge mild steel, these 1-5/8 in. short-tube headers deliver a notable power improvement over stock manifolds while maintaining optimal ground clearance and OEM component compatibility. The classic 2-1/2 in. 3-bolt gasket-style collector allows bolt-on installation. These headers are uncoated and ship with a temporary black paint that burns off at normal operating temperatures. Some heads may require drilling and tapping of end bolt holes. Each pair includes gaskets, bolts, 2-1/2 in. reducers, and all required mounting hardware. Off-road use only on 1975+ models.
