Hedman Hedders has been manufacturing high-performance exhaust headers in the USA since 1954. These full-length long-tube 1-5/8 in. HTC Silver headers (SKU 68296) are designed for Chevrolet A-Body vehicles equipped with a Small Block 283-400 engine. Built from mild steel with smooth-flowing CNC mandrel-bent tubes, hand-welded for consistency, they ensure optimal exhaust scavenging to maximize horsepower and torque. The unique gasketless ball and socket collector design allows bolt-on installation even with slight misalignment. The high-temperature polished HTC Silver ceramic-metallic coating resists corrosion and withstands temperatures up to 1400°F, backed by a 5-year factory warranty on the coating. Each set includes gaskets, flange and collector bolts, and ball and socket reducers. Compatible with automatic (column and floor) and manual (floor) transmissions. Without A.I.R. and without EGR.
