Description

The APR Intercooler System (IC100029) is designed for MQB vehicles equipped with the 2.0T engine and 8-speed automatic transmission (Tiptronic 09P). It installs in the OEM location and dramatically reduces intake air temperature (IAT), minimizes heat soak, and delivers measurable performance gains. Its bar-and-plate core with staggered and louvered fins reaches 877.5 in3 (24x16.25x2.25 in) — a massive volume exceeding the factory MK7 Golf R unit — while retaining the factory air dams for optimal airflow across the core. The 356-F cast aluminum end tanks are TIG welded and engineered to minimize turbulence and prevent boost leaks. No trimming or ACC system modification required. Peak gains: +21 HP. Direct bolt-on.
