The HKS 13001-AH004 intercooler kit is specifically designed for the Honda Civic Type R with K20C engine. The K20C achieves 320ps with 2.0L displacement and boost pressure exceeding 150kPa, which exceeds the stock intercooler capacity, causing intake air temperatures to rise to nearly 90°C. The HKS kit uses a larger intercooler to maintain optimal cooling performance. Furthermore, the HKS piping eliminates the sharp bend of the stock intercooler by integrating the inlet side tank and pipe to achieve smooth airflow and reduce boost pressure loss.
