The Hellwig EZ-990 Helper Spring Kit (p/n 978) is designed for the Ford F-150 in 2WD and 4WD configurations. Manufactured with heat-treated ASTM 5160 alloy spring steel at Hellwig's California facility, this single variable-rate leaf kit provides up to 2,000 lb EZ Level capacity. It mounts under the factory axle U-bolt plates with no modification required. For 2021–2022 model years, it only fits vehicles equipped with 3 leaf springs — does not fit vehicles with 2 leaf springs or adaptive headlights. Variable-rate leaves do not affect ride quality when unloaded. Limited lifetime warranty.
