The Dinan billet short-shifter kit (D550-1005) is designed for BMW manual transmissions from 2004–2013. It precisely reduces gear change throw by 20–25%, delivering a sportier driving feel. Application-specific design retains the original nylon pivot ball and shifter bushing for the same smooth, quiet operation as the factory shifter. The two-piece 416 stainless steel and aluminum construction, combined with Iglide T-500 polymer bushings, ensures vibration-free operation without the notchy feel of competitor metal-component shifters.
