Description

The Derale Fluid Control Thermostat Kit (SKU 15719) features a billet-style cast aluminum body with 1/2" NPT ports. It allows oil to bypass the cooler until it reaches 180°F, at which point the internal thermostatic valve closes and forces 100% of the oil through the cooler while maintaining a constant pressure system. This process allows the engine or transmission to reach optimal operating temperature more quickly before routing oil through the cooler. The unit can be rotated 180° to change flow direction. Hardware kit includes hose barb fittings and hose clamps.
