Description

The CURT 11540 Class 1 trailer hitch is a vehicle-specific, custom-fit hitch for the Volkswagen Jetta (1.4T, 1.5T, 1.8T, and 2.0T, excluding GLI), featuring a 1-1/4in round-tube receiver for light-duty towing or hitch-mounted accessories such as a bike rack. Tested to SAE J684 standards, it is rated at 2,000 lbs. gross trailer weight (GTW) and 200 lbs. tongue weight (TW). The exposed receiver is easily accessible, and the durable gloss black powder coat finish co-cured with a liquid A-coat primer provides lasting rust and UV protection. Bolt-on installation requires no drilling but does require temporarily lowering the exhaust and trimming the heat shield and underbody panel; allow approximately 35 minutes. All mounting hardware is included. Made in the USA (may include imported hardware).
