Description

The CURT 12174 is a Class 2 trailer hitch engineered specifically for the Jeep Compass with 2.0L, 2.0L Turbo, and 2.4L engines. Built from high-strength steel with robotic welding, it delivers a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs. GTW and 350 lbs. tongue weight. The concealed main body provides an OE look and seamless vehicle integration. The 1-1/4" receiver tube accepts a standard ball mount shank or compatible accessories. Finished in a durable gloss black powder coat co-cured with a rust-resistant liquid A-coat, inside and out. Bolt-on installation requires no drilling, but does require lower bumper cover and heat shield trimming, as well as hole enlargement. Tested to SAE J684 safety standards. Made in the USA (may include imported hardware). Installation hardware included.
