Description

The CURT Xtra Duty Class 5 Trailer Hitch (Part #15005) pushes towing capacity beyond Class 4, engineered specifically for the Ram 1500. It delivers a gross trailer weight capacity of 15,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 1,700 lbs. — ideal for toy haulers, dump trailers, logging trailers, and small yacht trailers. Compatible with a weight distribution hitch (17,000 lbs. WD / 1,700 lbs. WDTW). The open-back 2” x 2” receiver tube accepts standard ball mounts and accessories. The concealed main body preserves the vehicle’s factory appearance. Precision-welded construction is co-cured in rust-resistant liquid A-coat and finished in durable gloss black powder coat. Made in USA, with grade-8 hardware included. Installation in approximately 60 minutes — no drilling required. Tested in accordance with SAE J684.
