The Mishimoto Replacement Transmission Oil Cooler (MMOC-N5X-06) is engineered as a direct bolt-on for BMW vehicles equipped with the N20, N52, and N55 engines. The factory liquid-to-liquid transmission oil cooler uses the engine cooling system to regulate transmission fluid temperature. Over time, these units can fail, allowing coolant to mix with transmission fluid — a catastrophic and costly failure. This Mishimoto replacement cooler matches OEM specifications for fit and function, uses all existing factory lines and hardware, and requires no modifications.
