South Bend Clutch – Stage 3 Clutch Kit w/ Flywheel

Description

The South Bend Clutch 1947-OFEK Stage 3 clutch kit with flywheel is engineered for Dodge / Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks equipped with the L6 5.9L Turbo Diesel (2000-2005). Available in Stage 3 Daily, Stage 3 Endurance, and Stage 3 Drag configurations.

Stage 3 Daily: Race Engineered (SS) SFI-approved pressure plate with significantly increased clamp load vs. Stage 1/2 (+600-800 lbs.), 20-25% added pedal effort. Double-damped disc (sprung center + Marcel wave between linings) simulates O.E. launch feel. High metal content organic friction material for increased torque and RPM capacity with low operating temperatures. Recommended use: daily spirited street and occasional track.

Stage 3 Endurance: Same Race Engineered SFI pressure plate. Kevlar friction disc with unique static/dynamic friction coefficient ratio at high energy levels for smooth gear-to-gear transition. Torsion springs act as an engine-to-transmission damper. Recommended use: rally, endurance, club sport, autocross, street, daily.

Stage 3 Drag: SFI Race Cover pressure plate designed for short, fast pedal travel. Puck-style disc in carbon reduces rotating mass. Graphite-impregnated ceramic for maximum friction, rapid heat dissipation, and sharp engagement. Recommended use: drag, pulling, drifting.

The ductile iron flywheel is CNC machined, highly resistant to warping. Complete kit including alignment tool, steel pilot bushing and standard throwout bearing.
