SUSPENSION DETAILS

Every useful upgrade are included on our Alpine series (stainless steel hardware, pillow ball mount and swift springs) to ensure a long lasting efficiency aswell as optimal performance and comfort. Most application are offered in OE replacement or performance version.

The patented scaled system design allows easier and more precise adjustment and ensures equal height on each corner. Each shock is equipped with 24 levels of dampening adjustment to fine-tune the valving efficiency.

All coilover shocks are handcrafted and assembled to your specs at SCALE facilities.

This application use a double wishbone suspension configuration for both front and rear. This means that the shock have no direct impact on the wheel alignment. Every cars alignment is affected the more you lower it and depending on the suspension geometry. If the factory control arm have camber/caster adjustment eccentric bolt, you can set your wheel alignement to factory specs to prevent excessive tire wear after changing the ride height. Otherwise, you would need to check for aftermarket control arms.

The rear multilink configuration means that the shock have no direct impact on the wheel alignment. The car have some camber and toe adjustment with eccentric bolt but if you significantly lower your car or want more adjustment, you would need too check for aftermaket fully adjustable rear control arms.

The monotube design configuration, added to the completely threaded body result in a fully adjustable long lasting suspension. As the ride height is set by the overall shock length, the spring preload, comfort level and suspension travel remains the same at any ride height setting compared to other suspension where the ride height is set by the spring seat, resulting in reducing the allowed travel as you lower the ride height.

SUSPENSION HEIGHT

Regular Version
This version is the most used by customer looking to lower their car. It allow a ride height adjustment from stock to approximately -2.5 inch. Comfort level is still really acceptable for daily use but certainly have to feel sportier to prevent any rubbing issue when lowered. The stiffer spring rate and valving give significantly improved handling performance over stock.

Low Version
This Version is one inch shorter and 10% stiffer compared to the regular version. It is used to significantly lower or for track use. It still offer good comfort level for regular street use but certainly feels sportier as the higher spring rate reduce the suspension travel to prevent rubbing when tucking the tires.

Extreme Low Version
This Version is more a customized based on each customer needs. It is used for extreme fitment and require to contact you to have our tech team helping you figure the needed spring rate, shock length and valving required to fit your exact needs. That is why we recommend to contact us before adding the extreme low version to your cart.

SUSPENSION OPTIONS

Stainless Hardware Upgrade
This upgrade is included and replace all the normally used steel hardware (nuts, bolt and studs) for stainless steel parts to prevent rust or potential seizure when the suspension will stay on the car during winter. It also prevent tarnished hardware on show cars or suspension installed in moist or corrosive environment.

Swift Springs*
Made in Japan with the best alloy and manufacturing process to ensure precision, consistency and durability (superior rust resistance), these springs are mainly use on racing applications for all their features but are also now used on many street setup due to their large range of spring length and rates. This option can be considered for occasional track use, when the fitment or version require specific rates/length only offered by swift or simply if you want to add a plus value to your suspension and ensure your suspension will look and feel like new for years. ***Please contact us if you would like to add this option to your suspension.***

Custom Spring Rate*
Custom spring rate are always possible and free of charge on any application that use linear springs to fit different needs. Spring rates and length vary depending on the application, version and SCALE spring inventory/productions.
