Hedman Hedders has been manufacturing quality headers in the USA since 1954. The ELITE HD BLACK MAXX long-tube headers (SKU 63198) are designed for Big Block Chevy 396-502 powered passenger cars (without A.I.R. system): Camaro, Chevelle, El Camino, Chevy II/Nova, and Belair/Impala/Biscayne. Their ELITE heavy-duty construction features 3/8 in. flanges and 1-3/4 in. 14-gauge primary tubes, ideal for high-performance engines generating elevated exhaust temperatures. The BLACK MAXX Satin Black coating retains heat in the tubes for improved exhaust scavenging and reduced underhood temperatures. Hedman's gasketless ball and socket collector allows bolt-on installation even with slight misalignment. Note: no power steering on Camaro, Chevy II/Nova (check specific YMM). Each pair includes gaskets, bolts, 2-1/2 in. ball & socket reducers, and all required hardware. Off-road use only on 1975+ models.
