Hedman Hedders began in 1954 as a one-man operation. Bob Hedman, founder of Hedman Hedders, sold his highly sought-after exhaust pipes to other racers on the salt flats of the Mojave Desert. But what started as a way to earn a few bucks to pay for Bob's racing hobby, quickly became the premier manufacturer of exhaust pipes for both the racing and street markets.

Originally designed for straight-line drag racers, Hedman's reputation for building exhaust pipes that gave you the most horsepower for your money quickly spread. It wasn't long before Hedman Hedders became the brand of choice among elite engine builders, racers, and racing series. Familiar names like Don Garlits, Warren Johnson, Shirley Muldowney, Bob Chandler and his BIG FOOT race team, and the IROC series.
