Description

CTS Turbo offers the MK6 2.0T Direct Fit FMIC Kit, part number CTS-20T-GR-DF, designed specifically for the VW Golf R MK6 2.0T as a direct drop-in replacement for the OEM front mounted intercooler (FMIC). Installation requires no trimming or modification of the bumper. The OEM FMIC becomes a limiting factor once boost is increased via ECU tuning; higher charged air temperatures result in boost cut and timing pull. The CTS FMIC uses a high-efficiency bar and plate core that reduces pressure drop, allowing the turbo to work less to achieve desired boost levels and produce more power to the ground. Rated for power levels in excess of 600HP. Includes 4-ply silicone hoses, billet adapter, and high-quality stainless clamps. Cast aluminum end tanks with mounting points cast into the tank.
