Description

The CTS Turbo Direct Fit FMIC Kit (part# CTS-20T-EOS-DF) is engineered as a true drop-in replacement for the OEM front-mounted intercooler (FMIC) on the Volkswagen Eos MK1 2.0T. Installation requires no trimming or modification of the bumper, retaining all factory mounting points for a straightforward bolt-on fit. The OEM FMIC is adequate for stock boost levels, but once boost is increased through ECU upgrades, it struggles to control charged air temperatures. Elevated intake air temperatures lead to boost cut and timing pull, both of which reduce available power output. The CTS FMIC features a high-efficiency bar and plate core that significantly reduces pressure drop, allowing the turbo to work less aggressively to reach target boost levels while delivering cooler, denser charged air to the engine. The core measures 23.00" long x 2.00" thick x 16.5" tall with cast aluminum high-efficiency end tanks. Rated for power levels exceeding 600 HP.
