Description

Red Line Lightweight ShockProof Gear Oil (ref. 58404) acts like a liquid grease, using a suspension of solid microscopic particles as an extreme pressure agent. Its film thickness exceeds that of an SAE 75W140, yet it has low fluid friction like an 80W gear oil or 30W motor oil. Ideal for racing differentials under moderate loads and popular in racing transmissions including Hewland and other Road Racing dog-ring boxes, Bert and Brinn for Stock Cars, and G-Force and Liberty clutchless units for Drag Racing. Provides 40% lower coefficient of friction and 250% of the load-carrying capacity of conventional gear oils. For wet sump transmissions and differentials with splash lubrication only; avoid use with pumps, coolers, and filters (clogging risk). Race use only. 1 qt (946 ml).
