EFR 7163-F(v) 57mm V-band Turbocharger - Aluminum

The EFR 7163 is the largest ball bearing turbo within the B1 series, and it dominates on the track thanks to unmatched spool up and performance. The EFR 7163 is a star performer because it employs many of the special features that BorgWarner supplies to Honda and GM for the ITT INDYCAR Series engines—2.2-liter twin EFR 7163 turbocharged V-6. Unique to the 7163, this turbo has both Gamma-Ti as well as a unique mixed flow turbine wheel which improves efficiency of the turbine wheel (i.e. boost comes on even sooner). This is an advanced ball bearing turbocharger with Gamma-Ti turbine wheel technology which greatly improves spool-up. EFR turbos have the competitive advantage over other brands thanks to the lightweight turbine wheel material which cuts turbine inertia in half vs.

Inconel. Gamma-Ti (aka Titanium Aluminide) is commonly used in aircraft turbine blades which provides strength and weight reduction. Since it requires less energy to accelerate the wheel, higher speeds can be reached sooner and as a result the on-engine boost response improves while the competition is reaching for the NOS button to catch up! EFR 7163 is sized just right for single turbo applications making up to 550 HP or up to 1,110 in twin configurations! This turbo also is a top choice for 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder, single turbo setup, rotaries, twin-turbos V6 and V8s, and a variety of other race applications.
